At a certain casting parts manufacturer, RFID was introduced for mold management of large casting parts. Multiple mold frames and wooden patterns are combined to create the casting mold for the production of a single large casting part. Before the introduction of RFID, veteran workers relied on their experience to pick the necessary mold frames and wooden patterns from the mold warehouse. However, with the introduction of RFID, even less experienced workers can now pick the required mold frames and wooden patterns accurately and quickly.
